The best drawing advice I can give to anyone who wants to improve quickly is to use cheap notepad paper and ballpoint pens. I know it's tempting to buy the cool fancy supplies but then you'll feel pressured to not waste them. Use garbage materials and burn through them with zero thought. Only use pen because it forces you to commit and stops you from second guessing your lines and redrawing them over and over. Learn how to use your mistakes and then learn how to get it right the first time. I took numerous art classes and nothing taught me more than buying a big pack of Bics and legal pads and sketching anything that came to mind without hesitation. Fill a few pages everyday with the first thing that comes to mind. Don't rip out pages you don't like, just flip to the next page and try again. Watch yourself improve. If you really want to be a good artist, you need to learn how to draw from the ground up without relying on quality materials.

Whoa, if that’s all three rail that’s probably pre-war trains that were built on a large scale that’s roughly 2 to 3 times the size of the HO scale common now.
When I was a kid the oldest members of my extended family had them and would build their kits at Christmas as part of decorations, and they were so much bigger than the HO stuff I had at home.
It sounds like O scale equipment is similarly sized and has made a bit of a comeback but with a disconnect between countries. Based on a cursory check it seems crazy expensive.

the best part about Gritty was when he was unveiled, the entirety of Philadelphia reacted with “wtf is this shit” until the rest of the world reacted with “wtf is this shit,” whereupon we lashed back with “FUCK ALL Y'ALL HE IS THE BEST FUCKING MASCOT EVER AND WE LOVE HIM WITH EVERY FIBER OF OUR BEING” because Philadelphia.
I’ve seen this video so many times, and I just now processed that Gritty is playing Duck, Duck, Goose, and the third guy is literally wearing a shirt that says GOOSE on it. Amazing. No notes.

JKR’s new book announcement should not surprise you. It should not shock you. And I don’t mean that like, oh she’s been racist and horrible before so this is nothing new.
No. I mean that this is 100% intentional and reactionary. This is in direct response the backlash she got for being transphobic trash. She’s doing this because she’s digging her heels in and doubling down on her bullshit. This is PR 101, causing outrage to get people to pay attention to her.
So what we are not going to fucking do is give this woman a single fucking penny. We’re not giving her the fucking time of day. I do not want to see discourse posts in however many months’ time when the book comes out. There doesn’t need to be discourse because we fucking know already that it’s trash. This book and this author need to die with a whimper.

Why read 1,000 pages of (likely unedited, potentially proofread-less) fearmongering? If you want the dopamine hit of anger and fear, you could engage with worthwhile media in that time.
People are still sleeping on Gretchen Felker-Martin's "Manhunt". J.K. Rowling partially wrote her newest book in response to this Feburary 2022 release. There was a massive hate campaign from her fans and fellow TERFs to 1-star bomb this on every review page.
Why? Because J.K. Rowling dies in this book. Not violently, not as a plot point; it's barely a spoiler. It's just a worldbuilding conversation where characters consider the irony of she and her rich friends dying in an accidental castle fire while sealed away from the end of the world. It is thematically relevant allegory on how bourgeois selfishness doubles as self-destruction.
The monsters of this book are also unquestionably the militarized TERFs enacting gendercide.
I can't stress enough what a phenomenal, gutwrenching book this is. It's a difficult read, but it is filled with thoughtful commentary on toxic masculinity, white feminism, anti-fat bias, transphobia, classism – and how all these things allow transmisogynistic radical feminism to flourish.
I can guarantee you the violence and hatred in this book is not only better written than JKR's work, but it is thoughtful and has purpose. Zombie, dystopia, and splatterpunk fans in particular are missing out by skipping this. Honestly, though? Anybody who can stomach the oppressive atmosphere, visceria, and dehumanization those subjects suggest should consider it (or at least watch Jessie Gender's YouTube report of this title).
Let JKR languish. Occupy yourself with things worth your attention.
